Hey guys,

The Strange Talent of Luther Strode #2 came out last Wednesday along with the second printing of issue 1. Go out and grab a copy if you haven't already! If you DID grab a copy, let me know what you thought about it! I'll be posting some pages from it on here soon. For the time being, feel free to go check out some preview pages over at my blog. traddblog.blogspot.com/2011/11…

Speaking of Luther Strode, go look at Elizabeth Beals' amazing Petra pin-up from Luther Strode Issue 2. DO IT: fav.me/d4evtxr

I've also been doing a few interviews here and there, check them out if you're interested.

This is a short video interview with MTV Geek from NYCC: www.mtv.com/videos/interview/7…

And here's one with The Comixology podcast. My interview begins 23:50, but the whole podcast is fun. You know, if you like podcasts: hw.libsyn.com/p/e/9/5/e95091c6…

Correction on my post, I bought issue two. That would be why I got in the middle of the story. Huh, I thought it was number one.

I bought the first issue of the strange talent of Luthor Strode and I really liked the book. The story was a style that I didn't like in that it had characters who were just put in there and not given a background like the librarian. The background was touched on yet it was not explained but I know this is going to come in future issues. I really wanted to know at least why the guys chained in the cave where there. The background of Luther and stuff was alright yet there was a disconnect with the act of killing and maiming from when Luther just starts killing the bad guys. I know you wanted it to be bloody but I would have liked to know how the change was taking place. Step by step not just oh you have my mom I am killing everyone. It just showed a disconnect for plausibility. Loved the artwork! the colors were fantastic! The gloss of the book and the ads in it were great touch. I gave it an A- overall. Keep up the great work! Oh, the dialog in the book was fantastic. I could hear the different voices in my head when different characters where talking. so good!

Thanks a bunch for the thorough and honest feedback, man! Try picking up the TPB that collects the whole miniseries ( [link] ), I think it will answer a lot of those questions that you have. Also, the scene in issue 1 where Luther kills the room of bad guys is a flash forward, so it's meant to feel like a disconnect. We show the reader what Luther will eventually become right at the beginning, then spend the entire miniseries showing how he gets to that point. Luther doesn't actually make it to that murder scene until nearly the end of the series. So yeah, check out the full series if you're interested and let me know what you think!

Also, keep your eyes out for the sequel, The Legend of Luther Strode, that starts next week!

Thanks again, man! Really glad you like the artwork and dialogue! The colorist, Felipe Sobreiro, is on deviant art as well, so go check him out:

I actually think I did get trade paper back. It was thick like a graphic novel. I didn't want to send out back vibes about the book. I was only commenting it isn't my type of story. Not that it was not written well, which it was written very well! You know when you read something and you like it but you think of other ways of telling it. That is all. It did inspire my to keep working on my own book. Thank you for a killer book and the more I read it over and over I keep picking up little details I missed. Keep rocking on with it!

Oh, cool! Yeah, I totally get where you're coming from, man. Different types of story telling appeal to different people, absolutely. There's nothing wrong with that! Once again, I really appreciate the feedback and thanks for the kind words! I'm glad we could help inspire you to create your own book!
