That axe is small enough to fit INSIDE the blade of the actual Executioner's axe. Granted, the artwork here is pretty cool. But seriously... why did you make the axe so tiny?
It's not that the axe is small, that's just El Gigante dressed up as the Executioner for Halloween. Duh!
Seriously though, I was going for the archetypical American slasher look (Jason/Michael Myers/Leatherface), so I figured a more realistic and moderate sized axe would be more fitting. Glad you like the artwork, tiny axe notwithstanding!
Realistic? Why would you even want to do that? Half the reason I love the character is because of his oversized axe/hammer/thing. But on your picture, he barely looks like an executioner at all. He almost looks like he is a misfigured butcher with a cleaver.
And... you were going for realistic - yet, you have those flying skulls in that magic stream behind him? So let me get this straight... you tried to make him more realistic, and after that you also decided to put in flying spirit skulls? That's just... inconsistent. My point is - just give him his oversized axe instead. This is just silly. It's like if you gave Nightmare from Soul Calibur a one-handed sword. It might be more realistic - but also looks lamer and sort of ruins the character.
Yeah, I agree, That axe is just way too small... I think he should have at least made his axe the size of him. It would Be WAY more realistic than those dumb ghost spirits that are like totally out of no where...
Not going to argue with you, dude, that's just how I wanted to do it. Sorry you don't like it, but there's plenty more Executioner artwork on the internet with massive axes that'll tickle your fancy, so, by all means, stick with the ones you like. Oh, and feel free to take my drawing into photoshop and increase the axe size by 600%, then you'll be good to go.
All that being said, I do appreciate the feedback, no hard feelings!
